A new Feature for IT Consulting Companies: Review Discovered Data

hJDisc Discovery is pretty interesting for IT consulting and service providers. It’s cost effective and flexible project license is the key for our consulting partners. Currently, we are working on making our offer even more appealing.

So far, JDisc did a great job of discovering a customers network. It gathers all plenty of hardware- and software information from many different devices. But, let’s suppose, that you are a consulting or service provider company that just did a network assessment and the customer is asking for the results. Yes, you could export our reports into the Microsoft Excel format and paste them into a Word document. But wouldn’t it be great to have a kind of read only version of JDisc Discovery? Instead of handing over papers, you provide the customer with a read only version of JDisc Discovery that contains all of his data. The customer can open the reports as often as he wants, he can filter the data, create new custom reports and might even add custom attributes to his data.

The readonly version can import databases of any size. And the best thing: Is is free…

The only thing a customer cannot do is a new scan!

The new feature will be part of the next official build.

I own and manage JDisc and its network inventory and discovery products. Before I started JDisc, I worked quite a long time for Hewlett-Packard developing software for network assessments and inventory projects. Feel free to contact me on Linked-In or Xing.
