Great Performance Improvements when Documenting Remote Computers

As mentioned in the previous post, creating a network documentation for remote computers and sites is not that easy. Inefficient protocols can make an effective discovery of remote sites even impossible, because network delays and limited bandwidth causes them to fail. JDisc Discovery can make use of its remote login capability to tunnel inefficient protocols through its remote login protocol.

While remote login has been a performance boost for remote computers, it was slower compared to native WMI or remote registry calls in the local network. That was kind of a challenge for our R&D engineers. However they were able to improve the performance within the local network by fifty to sixty percent! Now, there is no significant difference between using native WMI and WMI through our remote login tunnel!

I just wanted thank our engineers who worked pretty hard on this feature!

The performance improvements will make it into the next build that will be released within the next two weeks.
