Configuring access credentials can be difficult and, in some cases, dangerous if not used properly. JDisc Discovery uses a variety of protocols and APIs to obtain information, and all of them require credentials. Furthermore, there are different locations where to configure access credentials. - to access Windows computers that belong to a specific Windows domain
- to access Windows computers that belong to a particular DNS domain or Active Directory organizational unit

It is essential, especially for domain credentials, to use a single password. Otherwise, the domain controller might lock the account.
